Replaced blown 3amp fuse and tested system. System is functioning properly upon departure
Upon inspection, I found the thermostat was set to heat, but was not sending signal to the indoor or outdoor unit. Thermostat was bypassed to get the system on and heating. I then Found the compressor was not running outside. I installed a new compressor and tested the heat to make sure it was heating properly and it was. The owner of the home declined the repair of the thermostats, but did want the capacitor replaced. System is not operating properly upon departure. Thermostat needs to be replaced.
Today I arrived to inspect two split gas furnaces in All components are operating within manufacturer specifications. Per homeowners request. I changed two filters. No other thoughts or notes at this time.
Today, I arrived on site and conducted a thorough inspection of the HVAC system. Here are my findings: Delta T: The temperature split is only 10 degrees, which is below the industry standard of 18 or above. External Static Pressure: N/A Blower Wheel: The blower wheel appears to be clean and in good condition. Evaporator Coil: The coil looks to be in good condition. Condenser Coil Cleaning Before and After: No cleaning was done on the condenser coil. Compressor Run Capacitor: The compressor run capacitor is within the tolerance range. Blower Run Capacitor: The blower run capacitor is in good condition. Condenser Fan Run Capacitor: The condenser fan run capacitor is also in good condition. Additional Thoughts: The system seems to be low on R22 freon, and there is a high possibility of a leak. Considering that the system is 15 years old and uses R22 freon, it is recommended to replace the system rather than repair it. Additionally, the high voltage electrical whip is not secured to the d

Arrived on site, found faulty compressor capacitor at condenser serving east side (main) of home. Replaced capacitor and checked operation. Found system working correctly at this time. Capacitor is under warranty from previous repair.
