Today, I showed up for a no cool. Here are my findings, When approaching the condenser coil, I noticed that the fan was not spinning and the compressor was making a loud squealing sound. Further investigation led to a bad Dual capacitor. Recommend to Replace 55/5 µF dual capacitor. After replacing, dual capacitor unit began to operate properly, With all components testing within the manufacturer specifications.
Today I performed a service call package heat pump. I found that the Outdoor fan motor was not spinning. Further investigation concluded that the fan motor was bad. Recommending replacement.

Upon arrive home went to the units thermostat and kicked it on the thermostat was not working tried the thermostat and cooling the thermostat still did not work took the thermostat off the wall jumped it out found that the thermostat was bad continued with placing a new thermostat on the wall checked it and heating the unit was only cooling when up to go take a look at the unit on the roof and found the unit is a street cool only the unit will only cool

Found bad dual run capacitor and outdoor fan motor. Must add compressor saver for compressor to start.
Performed Pma/ service on two split heat pumps with air handlers in attic and condensers on ground. Upstairs system currently not working due to a failed outdoor fan motor, dual run capacitor. This unit also needs a hard start kit for proper compressor operation. See maintenance form for unit that’s currently working.
